Iraqi Forces Decline Backup During Baghdad Raids

Either proudly independent, or hiding ruthless tactics, or some Iraqi leader just knows that independent fighting amongst Iraqi forces must happen and it must happen now. There are multiple possible motives for Iraqi forces declining American help during raids in Baghdad, quite possibly a combination of several motives.

American troops just outside of urban areas wait on bases, some soldiers feel like they are under ‘house arrest’ as they must stay on the base. American soldiers out in rural areas are still in full gear out on the streets helping enforce laws, train Iraqi forces, and weeding out insurgency.

Dinars will totally replace US Dollars on the streets of Iraq sometimes around October ’09 experts are saying. It will come to the point (this fall) that Dollars will simply not be exchanged at local banks, enforcing Dinars as the King of trade in Iraq. Several serious Government deadlines seem to be on schedule by show of toughness by Iraqi forces.

Baghdad would be the main test of victory for Iraqi forces. Accomplish raids in Baghdad independently is the reason for American forces given last minute orders to ‘stay on the base and wait/ready for action’.

Actions are louder than words and the actions equal a growing momentum of proud victory for Iraqi forces. All US troops are scheduled to leave Iraq by end of 2011. Much can happen still for good, or bad. It’s too early yet, let alone - to declare an ominous victory. There is obvious unrest and these insurgency cells are being dealt with one by one with the full unconstitutional (hopefully) no holds barred furry of Iraqi forces.

Our troops deserve a much need break anyway. They have performed above and beyond. If Iraq is to survive they must use ruthless tactics. They cannot afford to poo poo around with them or use spit balls for ammo. Thank god they don’t have an ACLU over there! The innocent folks have suffered enough already. The time has come. God Speed Iraq!!

I agree with Edward Bailey’s comments! At the same time things seem to progressing as far as the dinar value is concerned. Sounds Good!

  3. Next week I’m getting right back into all the industrial progress in Iraq and how it’s related to the ultimate objectives of the revaluation.

Hi Darren, Hi Stan, After the Oct. conversion to Iraqi currency only, does this mean the dinar could be unrestricted outside of Iraq, followed by a quick reval.? Something to think about huh guys? I have that gut feeling.

  5. It does not mean that at all. It is a step towards strengthening the Dinars within Iraq.

The revaluation itself will remove Dinars from the restricted currency list thus allowing exchange house trade around the world. Iraq enforcing Dinars only to be used in Iraq does not equal the definition of a revaluation. It is not a reval in and of itself. A step closer to a reval, yes.

  6. I never would have thought how much information you could find online about this! Thank you for making this easy to grasp
